Frequently Asked Questions

  1) Can I bring someone with me? 

It is recommended you come alone. No one is allowed in the procedure room with you. No kids are allowed! 

2) Can I take Tylenol or any pain medicine? 

No Caffeine or Tylenol 48 hours before your service

3) Can I drink any alcohol before my service?

No alcohol 48 hours before your service

4) Does it hurt?
Although everyone’s pain sensitivity varies, the application of permanent makeup includes topical anesthetics that greatly reduce sensitivity. We use vegan anesthetics.

5) Are the pigments safe?
Pigments used in permanent cosmetics have an extensive record of safety. Used in both medical and artistic fields for over 20 years, their safety is undisputed. Pigments are iron oxide pigments which are MRI-safe.

6) How long does it last?

Most colors last three to five years, although some may last longer. Periodic touchups are recommended to maintain the desired look.

7) Can my tattoo artist do scalp micropigmentation?

A scalp micropigmentation artist specializes in one thing, replicating hair follicles. We are taught to use a very specific technique, pigment, and needle size to take on the task of your head. Tattoo artists are not taught the techniques nor use the needles that PMU artist will commonly use.

8) Can I get permanent makeup if I have a keloid? 

NO MICROBLADING / PMU for people prone to Keloids. 

9)Do I need medical clearance?

If you have any of the conditions listed on this form, you may require medical clearance. You will need to discuss it with your physician and with your permanent makeup practitioner during your consult.
